Both P2 classes went to the Marketplace Theatre to watch a play-Eddy the Teddy’s Zoo Adventure. It was very interactive and we got to sing songs with Eddy the Teddy, who played his guitar. Sammy, Eddys friend, joined in the fun too.
Have a look at our pictures as the children had a blast!!

Our second basketball session with Peace Players took place on Tuesday. We went back into our groups and after some fun ice breakers we learnt about the different passes you can make during basketball. After lots of relay races, where each group had to practice their passing skills, we took part in the Peace Player's autography challenge. We collected autographs from pupils from the other school and found we had lots in common with our Shared Ed partners! We are already looking forward to our next session!

We had a very informative session with Young Enterprise. We learnt that some of our food travels many miles to get to our table. We also learnt about trading relationships between countries and practiced our trading skills when we sold shapes with our resources. Some of us started with more resources than others and we discussed how fair this process was. Our session was not only enjoyable but we learnt so much!

(Week 1) - We had our first session with Peace Players with Presentation P.S.. After a very windy journey, we arrived and went into groups. After coming up with our team names, we learnt how to dribble - you should use your finger tips! We also learnt more about our Shared Ed class. Finally, we got to race against each team and see who could score the most amount of points. What a great start!

On Monday 15th April we visited Armagh Palace Stables. We learnt how to read a map and identify what each symbol represents. Unfortunately, the weather was very changeable and when we went outside to practice finding our orienteering kites we got a bit wet! However, that did not stop us from having fun and taking part in a giant orienteering race.

We went outside today in the sunshine to do a traffic survey, as part of our topic of Transport.

We saw a lot of cars, a few lorries and 2 motorbikes. We were disappointed we didn’t see any buses or bikes!

It was so exciting and we even got a toot of the horn from some motorists!!

Please find information and a leaflet regarding a Kids' choir in Portadown which your child may be interested in.

'We run a kid's choir called Just Sing Kids. It is a community choir for all children within the local area. We are currently trying to encourage even more children to come along and benefit from the joy of singing.

The choir is for children between the ages of 7 and 14.'

On Tuesday 23rd April P5D had Tracy and Ruth from Danske Bank in Portadown to talk with them. The boys and girls all learnt about what it means to have a budget, the difference between needs and wants and how we can use the bank. Thank you very much to the ladies coming into school and working with the boys and girls, they all throughly enjoyed the morning.

Our boys and girls thoroughly enjoyed mixing together a variety of fresh fruits, herbs and flowers to make wonderful smelling perfumes and potions! Some fantastic descriptive language used within play.
