P3W are bouncing with enthusiasm!
Welcome to our webpage, please feel free to look at our images and get a flavour of some of the amazing things we learn about and take part in at our school!
News
We looked at compass points using IZAK9, ask us about norther, south, east and west. We also celebrated World Mathematics Day, we found mathematics in Art by exploring pointillism - look at our beautiful dot rainbows. We completed a Maths Quiz in teams and we investigated shape and number in our outside environment. Not to mention some fantastic number based costumes!
We had a super time this week making 3D models of birds using recycled materials for Science week. We considered the materials that would work best and how to attach them securely. Take a look at our creations!
We also met Carlos who lead us in a "feelings and me" workshop through Hip Psychology! He was great fun!
On Tuesday, we enjoyed learning all about Pancake Tuesday and of course eating some pancakes.
On Wednesday, we had fun during ABL.
On Thursday, it was World Book Day and we dressed up and shared some of our favourite stories!
We also had an A-MAZ-ING day with our Pirate fun day!!!
We had a pirate parade, a talk like a pirate session, IZAK9 numeracy pirate tasks, pirate PE with Coach Steve and a treasure hunt. Mrs White and Mrs Flavelle had great fun too.

We were also learning about instructions and made playdough. Luckily we are all brilliant at following instructions or we might have gotten into a sticky mess!
Wow, we did it again.... P3WA have achieved Mathlete of the month for the 3rd time this year!
This is a huge achievement and I am so proud of each boy and girl for taking part so often.
Please keep up this great effort and participation for another month! Every day doing Mathletics just 10 minutes really helps learning styles and factual information about all types of Numeracy skills.
We explored symmetry using a range of resources - can you tell which side we mirrored? We also used IZAK9 to investigate number sequences, even and odd numbers and we have to work as a team to find totals and problem solve.
We are brilliant mathematicians!
This week we have also completed our artistic 'Winter' display by using twigs and branches to create 3D trees. We are so creative!
We also started our new WAU topic - Pirates!

P3WA thought about celebrations from around the world and learnt about the Hindu festival of Diwali. We learned about rangoli patterns and the significance of light and lanterns.
In Art, we are learning all about lines. We used lines are used to draw trees, we are becoming fine young artists with new language all about lines!
And, of course, we always follow instructions for PE with coach Steve.

This week we have been doing some super climbing, sliding, rolling and general core skills in gymnastics. We have also been celebrating birthdays as part of our topic and using this theme in our Activity Based Learning.
In Art we have been making lines; exploring making thick and thin, heavy and light to prepare us for drawing. Keep an eye out each week as we update our Art progress with you!
This week we started learning some exciting new moves in gymnastics with coach Steve. We used lots of different balances, how to jump safely and some new ways to roll and as well as working on our core strength skills.
We have been reflecting on the up coming Remembrance Day and learning all about the significance of the poppy.
We also had great fun on our 3D shape hunt around our school during Outdoor Learning day.

We have nearly finished our ICT minibeast presentation and we can't wait to share it with you.
We also participated in a Nuture in 5 lesson using yoga exercises and breathing techniques.

We also enjoyed learning about iZak9 and using the cubes to work in groups and learn about; number order, arranging patterns and following instructions.
