Good school attendance is imperative if pupils are to make the progress which they have the potential for. At Hart Memorial, attendance is monitored by our Vice-Principal, Mrs White, in collaboration with the Education Welfare Service. If your child is off, you MUST provide us with a reason why - as a school, we have a duty to know reasons for absence and monitor these. Your pupil must only be off for a valid reason - sickness, appointment, something agreed with Principal/ Vice-Principal etc. When monitoring attendance, the following flowcharts come into play. Please read them carefully to understand your role alongside the role of school staff.
