After very patiently counting down 21 days from setting 7 hens eggs into an incubator, we waited with great anticipation. There was much excitement when we heard lots of cheeping and tapping coming from inside the eggs. Suddenly cracks appeared and then a little beak broke through the shell. We were delighted to be able to watch as the chicks hatched! The children have really enjoyed observing how they have changed and grown every day and have looked after them so well. Soon they will be ready to go to the farm and have fun with lots of other chicks🐣🐥
Well done to our 3 fantastic girls for winning a certificate for the month of March. Well done girls ❤️
Today we used a tuning fork to see sound vibrations. When the fork was vibrating, we heard a lovely sweet note. When the vibrations stopped, so did the noise. We then ‘saw’ the sound by making water jump using the vibrations. Great fun was had by all.
What an amazing month we have had. We have loved learning all about the things that happen in Spring.
The boys and girls in Primary 1 had lots of fun planting broad beans as part of our ‘Spring’ topic in World Around Us. We are looking forward to watching our plants grow! 🌱🪴

We all planted our very own sunflower seed today. We planted it in some soil and we are looking forward to looking after it and watching it grow!
