Our P1 children have been learning about floating and sinking during WAU and this term their technology task was to make a boat that floats. The children tested their boats in our water tray to see if they would float or sink. During 'show and tell' they talked about how they made their boat, described the materials they used and explained what type of boat they had created. We were so impressed with all the various shapes and sizes of fabulous boats. Thanks to all our parents/grandparents who supported their children with this project. Well Done!!
Primary 3 enjoyed creating their very own mini pizzas from BREAD! To complete our World Around Us topic about bread we made our mini treats!
A simple homemade treat can be enjoyed over the summer holidays, take a look at the great toppings.
The boys and girls have been working with clay this term during art. They were learning to flatten and pinch their ball of clay to form a fish shape. The children then decorated their fish with sequins and glitter paint. They are delighted with their beautiful sparkly Rainbow fish.
P5P enjoyed a lovely Class trip to Blackberry Hill Farm. It was wonderful to see and hold so many unusual animals, including a very friendly Rat!

The sun shone and we all had great fun. We enjoyed all the activities at our sports day!!
Today we travelled to the CAFRE Campus at Greenmount to learn more about Nature. We had great fun pond dipping (Taylon came very well prepared with his own net 😃). The children were so excited to find tadpoles with back legs, sticklebacks, blood worms, damsel fly larva and lots of other tiny water creatures. We then went on a mini beast safari in the wildlife garden, finding creatures such as spiders, slugs, wood lice and a rather beautiful snail. The children also made their way through the Beech Maze and found the sundial in the middle, complete with Roman numerals. We all had a brilliant time on our trip. A special word of thanks to the parents who accompanied us.
