We enjoyed celebrating World Book Day by dressing up and taking part in activities linked to authors and book characters.
Reducing the amount of Litter in the School Grounds is just so important. P5P were glad to take part in a Competition organised by the Eco Committee, highlighting the need for everybody to take responsibility to ensure that litter goes in bins and not on the ground. Here are some of our Competition entries!
lots of the children dressed up as their favourite book characters for World Book Day. We had everyone from Harry Potter casting spells, Mary Poppins singing, George and his Marvellous Medicine to The Queen ofHearts treating to chop off our Heads! We had a fun day.
The children were so excited today as they came to school dressed as their favourite story book characters. We learned about why we celebrate World Book Day, we played 'Name that Story Quiz' which was all about Fairy Tale characters, we read lots of stories together and drew a picture of our favourite story book character. As you can see from our photos we had a fun filled day!
We have been working really hard on number activities this week. We have been practising correct number formation, counting sets, ordering numbers and playing addition games during our playtime.
The children have been using a range of materials to make spoon puppets this term. They also enjoyed using their puppets in our role play Puppet Theatre to put on a show for their friends.
We have placed 4 large green bins around the school for each class to empty their recycling waste into.
Each class has 2 eco-warriors who are responsible to do this everyday.
We used oil pastels to create colourful drawings of different garden birds. 🦆🦅🦉
