We rounded off the half term this morning with a great morning’s fun with Peter from Sentinus. The children worked in groups to create a bridge using paper straws and masking tape. All group’s bridges successfully held one 5 litre bottle of water, and some held the weight of two of these bottles - amazing!!

The children then had to create something using KNEX, which everyone really enjoyed. The creativity was flowing with one group trying to build Big Ben and another group building Barry’s amusements!!

Well done everyone!

Today our Literacy lesson involved heading outdoors on an alphabetical noun hunt. Some teams even spotted lions, giraffes, zebras, caterpillars and worms. We headed back into the classroom to add adjectives to our nouns. We had a fun morning.

Primary 7 had a wonderful day completing STEM activities. Pupils experimented, planned and created bridge structures and towers, with Peter from Sentinus. In groups, and working as a team, pupils worked together to build a paper tower that could hold 10kg in weight. They were also challenged to build a tall, strong and stable tower using KNEX parts. Pupils had lots of fun in their groups, and did a fantastic job. Well done, P7 😀
