On Monday 13th March we had David Thompson a local swimmer come to school to help us take part in a workout fundraiser. Here are photographs of the children who were awarded prizes 👏
This year for Mother’s Day we decided to surprise our mums by writing them a letter and posting it. The children enjoyed learning how to write a letter, address an envelope and add a stamp. Then we walked to the post box to post our letters. It was a fun learning experience. We also made and painted pots so our mums had a little gift on their special day.
P4 walked to the post box, to post their letter to their mum, for Mother’s Day. When we arrived back to school, we found out about the journey that our letter would take and the reason for needing a postage stamp.
P4 enjoyed a fantastic science workshop with the guys from W5. The children really enjoyed seeing how things work and getting up to help out.
We were treated to a fun visit from W5 this week. We found out all about travel, transportation and inventions. You can see from the pictures below it was an enjoyable morning for everyone!
We carried out an experiment to see how skittles would react with water.
We had a very energetic start to our week this week. Circuits in the hall and then a timed run around school. Everyone had fun.
We have enjoyed another wonderful day at Forest school where we learnt how to use a saw safely, shoot arrows with a bow, aiming for bullseye, explore the forest and lots more.
