January has been a busy month in P3! As you can see from the images below, P3F have thoroughly embraced the Pirate topic! A team from the school took part in the Credit Union Quiz on Friday night, which is for Primary 7 pupils from primary schools in the Portadown area. Well done to Zac, Elissa-Rose, Amelia and Marcel. 👏👏👏
Today we travelled to the Palace Stables to learn more about WW2. Many of the children dressed as evacuees and they really looked the part. One even had her teddy in her bag! We met Mr Heaney, the Evacuation Officer, who was very cross with Mrs Stockdale because the children forgot their gas masks!!! After that, Colonel Shepherd, an American GI, taught us how to drill with guns (wooden ones😉) and how to decipher codes. We really had a great day and a really good educational experience.
Congratulations to Elissa-Rose and Elijah on reaching their Accelerated Reader Targets and winning a prize📖
Well done to Darwin, our Healthy Kidz Star🏃♂️
This week we have enjoyed mixing paints to create a sea background. We used forks, spoons and knives to spread and create a wave effect.
The children used many different materials to add effects onto a background. Tissue paper, string for rigging, card and pastel colours.
UICT- we also explored the use of Chatterpix App for adding voice over to characters.
