Primary 3 had lots of interesting talks from outside agencies this week. They loved searching for mini beasts and listening to all the facts from our school link staff from Lough Neagh Discovery Centre.
As well as learning facts about staying safe with Ethan and Connor our school PSNI officers. They were learning about STRANGER DANGER and staying safe with fireworks.
Note to parents- did you know that electric scooters and hoverboards are ILLEGAL in public places! I learned that new fact today myself

Scratch is an ideal tool for encouraging basic Computer Programming. It’s also a lot of fun!
We had the community police in to talk to all of P2 about Stranger Danger and how to stay safe in a public place. Some excellent questions were asked and answers given!
The children will be participating in an IFA Physical Literacy programme from September until February with coach Samuel once a week. On Week 1 they enjoyed playing ice breaker activities in teams.
The children enjoyed working as part of a team to problem solve using the Numeracy iZak 9 resource.
