A fabulous day out at the Ulster Museum was had by P5D today. The boys and girls got to take part in a Egyptian workshop. They had the opportunity to handle lots of different Egyptian artefacts and complete challenges! After this they got to explore the museum and visit the Egyptian Mummy.

We had a visit this morning from Michelle who came from Portadown town library.
Michelle told the children all about the library facilities. She emphasised that there is a lot more going on in the library apart from borrowing books.
Michelle shared a book with the children and encouraged them to visit the library & to join for free to make full use of the activities on offer. e.g. Lego & craft club

We have enjoyed collecting autumn leaves this week. We used a magnifying glass to study the leaves and then completed an observational drawing.

Julie and Paula from Dog’s Trust gave us a very informative talk on the wonderful work that they do every day caring for unwanted dogs. They also showed us examples as to how everyone can be a responsible dog owner.

What a busy September we have had. We have been getting to know each others names, learning our new Nursery routines and are well settled into Nursery. 😊
