For their WAU theme 'The Human Body', P7L is learning more about the different bones in our body.
Today we found out the scientific names for a few of them.

The boys and girls got to write them down on a post-it note and stick it in the correct place. Luckily, Simon the skeleton was there to help.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
P1 Christmas trip to the Navan Centre

P1 had a fantastic Christmas trip to the Navan Centre in Armagh. We were entertained with a Christmas play, before  enjoying a Christmas story and making a Christmas craft. The children were also thrilled to get a present from Santa. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
December in Nursery

We have spent lots time this term developing our understanding of positional language, using words like in front, behind, on top, under, beside. The children are working well together sharing ideas and learning from each other. Christmas excitement has led to lots of chat and discussion about Christmas presents and how the season makes them feel. The children have enjoyed using musical instruments this terms and learning their Christmas Nativity song. They sang beautifully and you should be so proud of them.

Literacy - Instructional writing

This week P5D have been busy in Literacy writing instructions. The best part about the week was when they got to write the instructions for making hot chocolate and afterwards they got to make some yummy hot chocolate in their Christmas mugs. We used balance scales today to decide which item was heavier and which item was lighter.
