Well done to the boys and girls who dressed up for World Book Day. The children did an amazing job at creating book characters out of either a potato or empty toilet roll holder. We had some fantastic book character costumes worn today in Primary 1 to celebrate World Book Day! Each child was invited to bring their favourite story book to school today and we enjoyed a lovely reading time on the carpet before drawing our favourite character. We also designed a book mark to bring home. Lots of boys and girls entered the school’s Book Character competition, decorating a potato/toilet roll tube to look like a book character. Well done to everyone who entered and a special congratulations to Vilte, our prize winner!
Well done to all children and families for making such an effort for World Book Day 2023. Congratulations to our Prizewinner and those who were highly commended.

They had great fun doing this and it was great for them to be able to add their own art and literacy work in a digital format.
We welcomed some well known book characters into our room today. See if you can guess who visited! Also, the children were very creative in their ‘decorate a spud’ and ‘decorate a toilet roll’ competition. The winner was Paulina, who made a fab Max, from the Hodgeheg.
