All the boys and girls in P5DK had a lovely day celebrating World Book Day.
P2 LM used toilet rolls and potatoes to make characters from their books. They all put in A LOT of effort and looked absolutely amazing. The children also enjoyed dressing up as their favourite characters.
In one of our Healthy Kidz sessions this week, the childrne got the opportunity to use the gymnastics equipment in the hall. Great work by all on balance, strength and stability!
This afternoon we went on a scavenger hunt based on using our 5 Senses, which is our new WAU topic. The children had lots of fun recording what they saw, heard, touched and smelled. Taste had to wait until we returned to the classroom for a drink of water and a jelly bean!
P4S travelled to Portadown Town Hall this morning to take part in the Choral Speaking class at the festival. They recited ‘Pirate Pete’ and ‘Daddy Fell into the Pond’. The children had worked really hard to learn these two poems and say them very expressively, so they were delighted to be awarded 3rd place. They each received a lovely bronze medal for their hard work.
