Our final morning was spent on the climbing wall, archery and playing frisbee golf.
We have had a fantastic time and the Tanagh staff and leaders have been fantastic!

We are hoping everyone is ready for an early night tonight😴😴. We certainly are! 😅

Another great day on our residential. This morning, we went canoeing and enjoyed toasted marshmallows over a campfire in the forest. After lunch, we took part in electronic orienteering and Battlezone Archery where the children got their revenge on us for all the homework through the year!! After dinner this evening, the children (and adults!!) put their singing skills to the test in karaoke before doing a spot of pond dipping!

Day 2 in Tanagh, another day full of fun even though the sun didn't always show up. We went orienteering and had a battle with bow and arrow. We ate some lovely goujons for lunch. After, we took to the water again to go canoeing. Cold water did not bother our P7L! After dinner we went outside to explore the local forests and see what plants and bugs we could find. We finished the night with some karaoke. Another great day with some (very) tired pupils.

The first day in Tanagh was a great one. The sun joined us while we were kayaking this morning. After lunch, we made our way across the rope course and played some team games. We'll be going for an evening walk soon and then it will be time for bed.

We have had such a great first day at Tanagh. We completed the low ropes course and team activities in the forest, and then spent the afternoon kayaking and swimming in the River Dromore. We finished the afternoon activities with the mud slide before showering and getting ready for a delciious dinner. Later on, we will go for a walk through the forest.

With some nicer weather this month, we spent a lot more time outside. The children were very keen minibeast detectives- naming them, looking for them in our garden, under flower pots etc. There were lots of opportunities for mathematical development- talking about their colours, counting their spots, looking for patterns- eg a stripy bee, a spotty ladybird, ladybirds being symmetrical. We also carried this into our indoor play- using paint, junk materials and dough to make minibeasts.

The following policies have been added to the school website for consultation:

  1. Art and Design
  2. Numeracy

Consultation is an important aspect of policy implementation whereby stakeholders have the opportunity to contribute to procedures and provision within an particular area of school life.
Please take some time to read the policies and provide feedback using the form on the same web page.  The feedback will go directly to Mr Frizzell only.  All feedback is helpful, even if it is just to say 'I agree.'

To access these policies, go to 'About Us' tab on the school website and then 'Policy Consultation.'

The above policies will be up for 2 weeks from Wednesday 29th May 2024.

Thank you.
