On Thursday 26th June, we held a prize giving and leavers' celebration in our school. It was a wonderful morning filled with memories, tears and laughter. Many thanks to Jonny Hampton for presenting our awards and for speaking to our leavers! We wish our leavers every blessing in the next step of their education!

We have had a fun packed end of term in Hart Haven! We invited our parents to a plate painting party and really enjoyed creating a masterpiece together. We have made delicious pizzas, created symmetrical butterflies, enjoyed some quiet time at the pond reading our favourite books, made our own bubble mixture and lots more!

This week P5D completed a Science experiment linked to their WAU topic of Farming. They used a toy tractor and let it travel along eight different surfaces. They made sure the experiment was a fair test by only changing the surfaces and keeping everything else the same - height of ramp, tractor, not pushing the tractor, letting the tractor go each time and the area that the experiment was carried out. It was great to make predictions about which surface would cause the tractor to travel the slowest and the fastest.

The boys and girls created excellent artwork on the theme of ‘Under the Sea’. They explored ocean plastic pollution as part of their ‘Sustainable Planet’ topic in World Around Us this term.

The P6 children enjoyed orienteering at the Palace Stables in Armagh this week. They learnt the key skills of map reading and competed in an orienteering competition in small teams.

Jen and Jo came to visit us. We had lots of fun singing, using the instruments and dancing to the music.

P7s were treated to a wonderful surprise from Miss Madill this morning when she provided them with a selcetion of ice-creams and toppings to feast on! Thank you so much, Miss Madill!!

- We had a great fun day. There was a lot of excitement when the ice cream van arrived playing music. We spent the morning having lots of fun bouncing on the bouncy castles and having our faces painted. We then had a picnic lunch to finish off a super day.
