We had a super morning on our Sponsored Walk. We enjoyed exploring the school grounds and even went for a walk in the 'deep dark forest' at the back of our school. The children were very excited to find minibeasts and a hedgehog's home. When we returned to Nursery we had lots of special treats to eat for our snack. Thank you so much for all your support.

Today we experimented with using our senses at 5 different stations set up around our classroom. We used our sense of taste to find out if food was sweet, bitter or sour. We used our sense of smell to guess a selection of scents such as vanilla, lemon, peppermint etc. We used our sense of touch to explore whether objects were smooth, rough, hard, soft, cold etc. We used our sense of hearing to explore making loud/soft and fast/slow music with our instruments. Finally, at our sight station, we played a game of find the snowballs while blindfolded, to help us appreciate how much we rely on our sight. The boys and girls had great fun and demonstrated their knowledge at the end of our lesson, within our class discussion.
