Last Friday, we visited the Navan Centre to end our WAU topic on The Vikings. We all had a fantastic time.
Over the past few weeks, we met up with our friends from Presentation Primary School. We completed lots of different activities hoop games, bingo, quizzes, Anti - Bullying posters and Viking Sagas. We had lots of fun together, and we are looking forward to our next outing.
P3WA thought about celebrations from around the world and learnt about the Hindu festival of Diwali. We learned about rangoli patterns and the significance of light and lanterns.
In Art, we are learning all about lines. We used lines are used to draw trees, we are becoming fine young artists with new language all about lines!
And, of course, we always follow instructions for PE with coach Steve.

P5D had lots of visitors to class this week. It started on Monday when Mr Frizzell was asked questions about road safety and parking outside the school. On Tuesday Ciara and Gwen from the PSNI and PCSP talked to the children about road safety, answered questions they had prepared and took the children out to the front of the school to measure the speed vehicles were travelling and looking at how vehicles were parked. On Wednesday the children used the iPads and took part in an Adobe live workshop to create road safety posters. By Thursday it was time to use all the information gathered to write a newspaper report about road safety outside Hart Memorial. Finally, on Friday, the children read a comprehension and answered questions.
We watched a demonstration today which showed us how digestion works in our bodies.
