Well done, we are very proud!
P2LM enjoyed meeting Paddington Bear and Winnie the Pooh at our puppet theatre today! Mr Blobby also made an appearance!!
P5D pupils have worked extremely hard this half term to complete an iMovie in groups about saving electricity in both their homes and at school. Here are two of the finished masterpieces. Congratulations to all the boys and girls for working on their ICT task and creating such informative and interesting films - one of them has a special guest featuring in the film! Can you spot who he is?
We travelled to the Palace Stables in Armagh to learn more about life during World War 2. Many of the children dressed as Evacuees and this added to their enjoyment. We visited Mr Heaney in his kitchen. He was impressed that so many of the children had remembered their gas masks! He took us to the Anderson shelter and we all sang Run Rabbit Run. Next we met the GI captain who instructed us in marching and drilling. Some of us need a lot of practice!! He also taught us how to work out a coded message. Finally we went to the school room to make our Identity Cards and Evacuee labels. The children thoroughly enjoyed the trip.
Many congratulations to our recent winners. Yesterday, in our Celebration Assembly, Harry, Oscar and Katie were awarded Teacher Monthly Certificates. Our stars of the week were Brett and Jara who joined our class on Monday and have been super pupils. The children also were so proud of their achievements in Mathletics, especially Oscar and Ollie who now have Platinum Certificates.
Today we also had fun researching hedgehogs and in art and craft we started our Blitz pictures and our Evacuee figures.
P3WA thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a worship to create mini wind turbines.
They were learning about turbines, shafts, washers and using these pieces of equipment to make the best movements into the wind. Everyone was very excited to discover how their wind turbine moved!
We have also been learning lots about pirates, we even created our own fictional pirates and made ‘wanted’ posters to describe their appearance and crimes! Watch out!
Congratulations to Madison and Stefan who both won prizes for reaching their Accelerated Reading target.
Poppy was our Healthy Kidz Star of the Week.
Excellent work shown by our Mathletics Certificate winners.
