On Tuesday 16th January P5D had a visit from the education team at NI Water. They came to talk to the boys and girls about the need to conserve the water we have and try to look after the environment by not wasting water and only putting three things down the toilet. They were given a booklet about the water cycle, a sand timer to try and encourage them to have a 4 minute shower and also a tag they could put on the water stop tap at home.

Technology investigation this half term is to build a working lighthouse. P5D have started the process of using a variety of materials to make a lighthouse that has a working lightbulb and switch. The photos show the progress so far. More photos to follow when they have used wires, batteries, bulbs and switches to make a circuit that lights up the bulb for the top of the lighthouse.
We have enjoyed learning about ‘more/less than’ this week, through lots of practical activities.
