We started our week of activities for Safer Internet Week with a visit from some of the Digital Leaders form P6 and P7.

They told us the story of what happened Mo and Jaz when they were playing a game online. They reminded us of what to do if a message pops up on our screens or if something happens that we are not comfortable with - Always tell an adult!

We were delighted to have Reverend William Orr speaking to us in assembly today.

He has reached the letter C in his talks and spoke about Joseph’s Coat.

He reminded us of the importance of not having favourites and to do our best to involve everyone in our fun and games. We should always be aware of anyone that might be isolated or feeling left out.

We closed with our new worship song, 10,000 Reasons.

It was our first time going to Presentation Primary School and we were so excited! P3WA had a fantastic time reacquainting themselves with the P3 children at Presentation. We played games to find out a little more about each other, we watched the story of ‘The Three little Pigs’ and took part in a carousel of activities related to the story and we learnt a song that included some fantastic air guitar performances!

What a fun filled month we have had. There has been lots of discussion about Winter. We have enjoyed learning about freezing and how we must be careful when it’s icy. We have learned how to melt ice more quickly using salt. We had a lovely visit from the staff at Oxford Island who told us all about birds. Through our large scale junk art the children have been developing their team work, communication and creativity. We were so impressed by the house, tree and marble run the children made.

This month, we have been learning all about Winter; going on a Winter walk around our school, talking about the weather and what clothes we wear in Winter and learning all about Winter birds. We have been working together, developing our listening skills and and our creativity!
