The children celebrated VE Day 80th Anniversary by having a special Key Stage Assembly, completing Art activities and dressing in red, white and blue clothes. Well done for your effort P6M!

P5D had the most amazing time today with their friends from Presentation PS! It was a fun filled day with orienteering, team building games, archery and they finished the day by toasting marshmallows in the forest.

In P1 today we enjoyed learning about why we celebrate VE Day. We celebrated by wearing red, white and blue, making special bookmarks, colouring VE Day pictures and learning how to colour the Union Jack flag.

Mr Frizzell took our assembly this morning and told us all about why we celebrate VE Day. It was very interesting and we learnt so many new facts. We then went back to our classroom and made special VE Day bookmarks!

We had a lovely time together at Lurgaboy Adventure. The beautiful weather definitely helped to make all the activities even more memorable. Orienteering, Bushcraft and Archery all were exciting before we ended the day by toasting marshmallows over a fire in the woods. Thank you, Lurgaboy Adventure!

P5D enjoyed a Food4life cookery demonstration this afternoon. Margaret explained to the class about the farms that supply farm quality assured meat. She showed them how to look for the logo that can be found on meat in local supermarkets. They got to watch Margaret cook a delicious chilli beef pasta, then it was tasting time and they all agreed it was yummy! Hopefully this will inspire them to cook something else from the book they have brought home to their parents.
