P7 Teggarty have recently had the opportunity to learn about the musicality of the Lambeg Drum and traditional Irish instruments. This has been completed in conjunction with the Armagh Rhymers, the Ulster Scots Society and the Craigavon Historical Society. A mixture of music, fun and good old fashioned craic has really caught the imagination of our pupils, and they have thoroughly enjoyed expressing themselves through drama and musical activities. They have certainty been awaken with the loudness of the Lambeg, and time has stood still with the playing of traditional instruments. This Shared Education initiative has been in partnership with our peers from Presentation Primary. As you can see below, the children had a blast! It was very different from doing literacy and numeracy. Children had a chance to express themselves, to be creative and most importantly, to have fun!
