Pat from NI Water spoke to the ECO Committee about single use plastic, and why it is important we reduce the amount we use. Pat told us that only 50% of single use plastic bottles get recycled, and the rest either end up in landfill or in the worlds oceans. He also explained the danger it has to sea life. NI Water has given us a reusable water bottle for every child in the school. These will be given out after Christmas. Everyone will be able to refill their water bottles in school.

P7 have enjoyed listening to Ducko on Monday afternoons. He has been sharing stories of his time as a teenager, and how our pupils can learn from his life experiences. This work has been fantastic in building resilience, promoting positive behaviour and helping to prepare the children for the life ahead after Primary School.

We are very thankful to Ducko giving of his time to help our children. It is much appreciated.
