Congratulations to the boys who received certificates for their great work during our recent Assembly. Well Done boys.
We have enjoyed many activities this month in relation to our topic of Spring. In particular we have been learning about flowers and baby animals. As we have begun incubating our eggs so they will hatch in time for Easter it has been great fun exploring with eggs at the play-dough table and in the water tray. Have a look at all the fun we have been having.
We decorated glass jars and filled them with flowers for our Mummy’s. Thank you for being the best ever!
Lots of fun learning experiences to explore during playtime.
This month we have had lots of fun learning and exploring many different things about Spring and young animals.
When out on a Spring walk around school we looked at the beautiful flowers beginning to grow and some of them smelt lovely. We then made our own lavender scented play dough using lavender leaves. We manipulated the dough in different ways to make flowers for a flower garden.
We had lots of fun making a gift for our Mummy for Mother’s Day. We decorated a jam jar with tissue paper and sparkly gems, carefully drew a picture for a gift tag and then chose some flowers to put into our lovely vase just for our Mummy. We were very excited to give it to her as she is so good to us and very special.
One of the children brought in some special hens eggs from the farm for us to look after. We very carefully put them in an incubator. The incubator keeps the eggs nice and warm and turns them just like Mummy hen as the little chick grows inside. We have a calendar and are counting down the sleeps until the chicks hatch. It is very exciting and we can’t wait!
