We have had a very busy month learning about mini-beasts. We went on a mini-beast hunt in our nursery garden and found millipedes, wood louse, wriggly worms, slugs, snails and spiders. We also found lots of snails in our own gardens at home and brought them into nursery where we set up a snail house. We observed how the snails moved very slowly leaving lots of slimy, silvery trails. We have enjoyed painting butterfly and snail pictures, making mini-beasts using recyclable materials as well as having fun making a spider's web in the sand tray and a wibbly wobbly jelly pond for frogs.
Lots of playful fun exploring activities relating to our topic 'Wish You Were Here!'

Outdoors we had great fun going on a minibeast hunt and found millipedes, worms, snails and slugs! We set up a snail tank in nursery and watched as they made snail trails and slithered around very slowly. In the art area we were busy painting butterflies, bees and using recyclable materials to make our own minibeasts.
