A staff member and a member of the public have highlighted some pupils who they have noticed crossing the road in an unsafe way.
The roads around school are very busy at home times and there are lost of things which can distract drivers.  It is vitally important that pupils do not add to this.
Please look at the following poster and discuss it with your child.

Remember, stop, look and listen!

What a lovely morning we had at the park. Last month, we went to Oxford Island, exploring the forest and played in the playpark. Today we went to People's Park. We had lots of fun- climbing, balancing, running and swinging. The children were full of chat about our adventure when we returned to Nursery.

With some nicer weather this month, we spent a lot more time outside. The children were very keen minibeast detectives- naming them, looking for them in our garden, under flower pots etc. There were lots of opportunities for mathematical development- talking about their colours, counting their spots, looking for patterns- eg a stripy bee, a spotty ladybird, ladybirds being symmetrical. We also carried this into our indoor play- using paint, junk materials and dough to make minibeasts.

It has been lovely to get back into our nursery garden again this month- planting, digging and creating delicious recipes in our mud station!

We enjoyed learning about St Patrick and made some lovely shamrocks to take home. There has been a lot of discussion about Easter- we made yummy Easter nest buns and had a very exciting visit from Jo Jingles.
