We had the community police in to talk to all of P2 about Stranger Danger and how to stay safe in a public place. Some excellent questions were asked and answers given!
The children will be participating in an IFA Physical Literacy programme from September until February with coach Samuel once a week. On Week 1 they enjoyed playing ice breaker activities in teams.
The children enjoyed working as part of a team to problem solve using the Numeracy iZak 9 resource.
P4S recently took part in an online lesson to improve their coding skills. The theme was ‘Space’ and we learnt how to make our astronaut and rocket move about on the space backgrounds. We then used our skills to animate a story with speech bubbles. We had great fun and learnt lots.
In literacy, we have been learning all about instructions. We followed instructions in order to cross the road safely. Later in the week, we had a chance to write our own instructions.
We used acrylic paints to paint our clay minibeasts. We enjoyed learning about layering and brush technique, in order to achieve different outcomes.
We explored art and design in digital form and created ladybird pictures on the iPads.
Primary 3F also welcomed Sandra and Kathryn from Oxford Island today. We went on a minibeast hunt and learnt lots of interesting facts about mini beasts in our school environment.

The eco council were busy sorting and delivering them to each classroom on Friday afternoon.
