If your child is off, you MUST provide us with a reason why - as a school, we have a duty to know reasons for absence and monitor these.
Your pupil must only be off for a valid reason - sickness, appointment, something agreed with Principal/ Vice-Principal etc.
When monitoring attendance, the following flowcharts come into play. Please read them carefully to understand your role alongside the role of school staff.
Thank you.
Yesterday, we were delighted to present a cheque for £195 to our Charity of the Year – Children’s Kidney Fund NI. This fantastic total was raised during our Christmas Party/Disco Day, and we couldn’t be more thankful! 🎄💃🕺
Our School Council chose this charity because of its special significance within our school community. In the past year, one of our own pupils benefited from a successful kidney transplant, making this cause especially meaningful and close to our hearts. ❤️
We have pledged to continue supporting Children’s Kidney Fund NI throughout the year, and we look forward to making an even greater impact together.
Thank you to everyone who contributed — your kindness truly makes a difference! 🌟🙌

🎭 Hart Memorial Primary School Presents: “The Opposites” 🎭
Today, Friday 12th December, our amazing staff took to the stage for a hilarious Christmas pantomime full of surprises, magic, and festive fun!
From strict rules to total chaos, from neat freaks to party animals – the staffroom has never looked like this before! Mischievous elves turned everything upside down, even Santa got involved (and almost cancelled Christmas 😱).
Thankfully, with a little help from our Chief Elf and the children, the magic was reversed and Christmas was saved! 🎅✨
A huge thank you to all our talented staff for bringing so much laughter and joy to the school today. 💫

Some members of the Eco Committee have been repotting cuttings and pot bound house plants. These plants were then distributed to members of the Eco Committee to take home. Spider plants improve air quality and increase humidity so are great to have in the house.
To help prepare this document, throughout the academic year 2024-2025, all stakeholders were surveyed on their views regarding our school and we were delighted with these results. From all of the data gathered, a plan was then devised to help us realise further improvement.
The targets for this school year are shown below.
As things progress, we will update you.
In November, Mrs Allen taught the children how to make beautiful Christmas wreaths. She brought all the foliage plus slices of real orange slow dried in her oven. She also provided cones and ribbons. We are so grateful to her for her work and wonderful teaching ability.
Several weeks back we had a Healthy Eating week in our school canteen. During this time, pupils had the chance to try new food, salads etc and many of these went down a treat! Recently, the EA Catering Service produced a booklet of healthier recipes to be shared with families. Each week as part of our healthy eating focus in school, a new recipe will be posted. We would encourage you to give these a go. This week, we are starting with one of our canteen favourites - our cheese and tomato pizza!
If you make it, why not post your photo to our Facebook post?
