P5DK had 2 Internet Safety workshops this week. They were learning about strangers online, gaming and when it is best to switch off their devices. They have been given a few challenges:

1. Turn off all screens at least 30 minutes before bedtime.
2. Look at all accounts that they might have e.g. TikToc, YouTube etc and check for personal information visible to others. They could change their name to a funny name or their profile picture to a cartoon using bitmoji.
3. Find out how to block an inappropriate person on all apps/games etc.

They were all so given an online safety pledge which they took home and have displayed it somewhere central for them to see.

She stressed the importance of staying safe online on all occasions and reminded everyone to think of the three keywords, STOP, BLOCK and TELL when using a device. Everyone present brought home an Online Safety Pledge to keep and learn from.
