In November, Mrs Allen taught the children how to make beautiful Christmas wreaths. She brought all the foliage plus slices of real orange slow dried in her oven. She also provided cones and ribbons. We are so grateful to her for her work and wonderful teaching ability.
Well done to Mrs Woods and the Eco Team for their work on securing our Green Flag. ON Tuesday 3rd June, Mr Frizzell, Mrs Woods and 3 members of the Eco Team were at a Reception and lunch at Craigavon Civic Centre to gain the award. Keep an eye out for the flag flying high!
The Chairperson of the Eco Committee, Ana-Maria Sirdea, recently interviewed Mr Alan McDowell, Director of Empower Garden Centre and General Manager and Trustee of Portadown Wellness Centre.
Mr McDowell is working with the Eco Committee to restore and improve the pond area at the front of the school and the front garden next to the road. The Eco Committee hope to make this a butterfly garden where children can have outdoor learning and where parents and carers can sit and talk to each other while waiting for their children at the end of school.

It was fun to use the litter picking sticks so the children were actually disappointed to find such a small amount of rubbish in our school grounds, just the odd tissue and bit of plastic. Well done Hart Memorial pupils for keeping our school grounds so clean and tidy.
Well done to the eco members who took key stage 1 assembly today. They shared our targets for this year and how we can achieve them.
Our targets:
