We have been very busy preparing for Christmas. Have a look at our festive paintings and decorations!
P7MM made model lungs as part of their WAU topic - Happy Humans. This task involved a lot of Thinking Skills and Personal Capabilities and problem-solving. There was great excitement when the balloon inflated😊. Some tried out different methods to replicate breathing in and out. A super morning!!

We had a special treat this morning in P1 making melted snowmen. We made the icing for our biscuits together and then decorated them ourselves. We didn't need any help eating them all up.
P7T have enjoyed learning about the Human Body over the last couple of weeks. There has been many wonderful questions about the many different organs and their functions. Today, we learned about the lungs, and how they work. Secondly, only to our Hearts, the Diaphragm is the most important muscle in the body. It allows us to breathe and controls our intake of air. Pupils were tasked to try to recreate its functionality using some plastic bottles, bin liner, a rubber band and a balloon. As you can see, they did a great job. :-)
