We have been learning all about different people who help us in our community. We have also enjoyed finding out how we can stay healthy and look after our own bodies. We have had fun taking on the roles of a doctor, nurse and patient in our hospital, painting X-ray pictures, making lemon playdough and lots more!
We have had a busy month learning about ‘People who help us’.
As part of our Education Work programme we enjoyed a stay and play session with the boys in our family. We worked very hard to create something from recyclable materials in connection with our topic of people who help us. Have a look at all our great work! Well done everyone 🚒 🚔 🚢 🚛
Primary 7 really enjoyed seeing their flying water rockets fly. Air pressure builds up in the bottle and eventually reaches its limit and forces its way out in the quickest possible way, ejecting the water and flying through the air. Pupils really enjoyed this simple science experiment. Great fun had.
P5DK had a young lady who managed to win the NI Anti-Bullying Forum Competition for the P5 to P7 category. Eva attended the prize giving at Lough Neagh Discovery Centre on Thursday 27th February.
The children used a variety of materials to make their very colourful wooden spoon puppets. During WAU the children learned that many years ago, before TV, IPads, cinemas etc Puppet shows were a source of entertainment for children and their families.
The children worked in pairs and small groups to design then create their own 3-wheeled vehicle to carry Fairtrade food and goods to market (wheels on the vehicle had to move). This was part of their World Around topic Fairtrade. I think they did an amazing job. Well done P6!

We had lots of fun reading the recipe, learning how to measure out the ingredients and making our pancakes. The best bit was choosing our topping and eating them of course....YUM 😋
P3 are using Book Creator on the iPads to write their own factual book about birds. Look at them hard at work.
