On Thursday 20th April we had a visit from Wendy who works for the Livestock & Meat Commission. She came into school to explain about how meat is produced in Northern Ireland and used some beef to make us a lovely pasta bolognaise dish. Pupils in P5D throughly enjoyed listening to Wendy, asking her questions, watching her cook and eating the lovely food. This visit linked very well with the new WAU topic P5 are studying this term - Farming.

Our WAU topic this term has been ‘Our Senses’ and the children have enjoyed learning about how important our senses are for perceiving the world around us. We have investigated our sense of smell and taste recently and also had great fun watching sound waves from a tuning fork make water splash.
