We have had such a busy month in Nursery learning all about People Who Help Us.
We had a visit from two police officers. They talked to us about keeping safe, showed us some equipment they use and we even got to sit in their police car!
We had fun working together to make pancakes. We read and followed the recipe, weighed out the ingredients, cracked an egg, mixed the batter and when cooked we really enjoyed eating them! They were delicious!
Today we were very excited to have a visit from Ian Paterson and his barn owls. Ian gave a very interesting and interactive talk to our class. The children (and adults!) even had an opportunity to hold “Loni” and “Fluffy”, the long-eared barn owl.

P5P were treated to a W5 Workshop today, hosted by Matt and Ben. The children were shown how to make a Wind Turbine, which they then managed to do in small groups. Electricity Circuits were also completed in this fun, hands on Workshop. Everyone learned a lot and had fun doing so!
As part of our WAU topic Fairtarde we designed a new Fairtrade logo. We then painted and printed our logo onto polystyrene.
P5DK made Lighthouses as part of their WAU topic, Energy. They made circuits and used them to light up their lighthouse.
