P6 enjoyed their trip to the Navan Centre on Monday 7th November. We learnt how to write with a quill, the weapons they had, what they wore, how they made their boats and where they lived when they came here. Everyone enjoyed the trip and listened well.
During Road Safety week we have been learning about how to cross the road safely. We have enjoyed learning Super Cat’s rap which teaches us to “Stop, look, listen and think” before crossing the road.
Today P5DK listened carefully in assembly to Mrs Davison explaining about Remembrance Day. As part of the assembly we held a 2 minute silence. Back in class the boys and girls used red and black tissue paper to create these lovely pieces of art work.
P3WT enjoyed investigating with numbers using number bones to challenge their partner and think about how to solve the missing number.
They also investigated which 3D shapes can be found around our school in their local environment. They found lots of interesting shapes and we hope they explore some more to search at home too!!!
P4AE entered a newsdesk competition about hibernation. All children completed fantastic pieces of independent work on their chosen animal. There were 900 entries!
A huge congratulations to Elsa Gracey who was a runner up in the competition!
Julie from the Dog’s Trust paid a visit to P5P to stress the importance of caring properly for your dog. The children learned lots of new information and techniques to keep a dog happy.
