P5D celebrated World Maths Day today as they were away on a trip last Friday. They had a very busy day starting with Mathletics and Times Tables Rock Stars. Then it was into the school hall to complete lots of physical Numeracy activities. The day was finished by working in pairs to work through Numeracy challenges.
In ABL this week we were using dough to create handwriting rules, on the ground, below the ground, and above the ground.
We had a freeze and melt science experiment to explore which body part could melt the ice cube the quickest!
And we used bird feathers to paint!

We had a very busy assembly today. Mrs Lee spoke about empathy and how we can include it in our lives at school.

We grew some cress as part of our Growth topic and had a taste today!
The result was mixed! Some decided not to try, some tried and didn’t like it, some tried and thought it was lovely and some tried and thought it tasted of nothing!
We have been learning about the lifecycle of a frog this week.
We went outside today, to look at the tadpoles in our school pond.
Last week it was frog spawn. This week, there were so many tadpoles!!!
