Today we enjoyed a fabulous trip to Armagh County Museum to learn about Toys from the Past. The children thoroughly enjoyed finding out about the materials the toys were made from and compared them to modern day toys. They had great fun finding out how each toy worked and were all keen to have a turn playing with them. The children were surprised to learn that in the past children only received a toy twice a year - at Christmas and on their birthday. Each child made a simple peg toy - a doll or aeroplane to take home. A great time was had by all.
