P6M have been learning about Fairtrade as part of their World Around Us Topic, this term. They created a pencil study of a Fairtrade farmer before drawing it on a polystyrene sheet. The children then created a print of this image by painting the sheet and transferring it on to white card, with amazing results.
This week Shannon earned the certificate for, Healthy Kidz Star Of The Week. Well done Shannon👏
Congratulations to the boys from P7MM who won the recent P7 Healthy Kidz Football Blitz! This involved teams of boys and girls from both P7 classes in our school. It was all very competitive! We are all so proud😊
Sophie and Gabriel won the Best Player Awards from our class. Congratulations to all who took part!
P7T pupils enjoyed some time playing outside this morning in the snow. Some simple fun memories made.
This morning we had the fabulous Lynda Haffey, author of The Mindful Sloth, visit our class. She read her story to the class and by the end we were all singing along with the Mindful Sloth. The book is a great story about how the Sloth is happy in himself and content with his life as it is. We all really enjoyed the visit and are looking forward to welcoming Lynda back when she has finished her next book!

We used lots of his collages to give us inspiration to make a collage of our very own 😊. We had a fantastic time 😍 Art is one of our favourite subjects in P2H!!
We got lots of new things to play with in our classroom! Here are some pictures of us enjoying ourselves during playtime.
P7 pupils were treated to a wonderful reading this morning by local NI author Lynda Haffey. The kids listened intently to every word, in a flashback lesson to their younger school days. This reflective piece encouraged pupils to think about themselves in this big world. When you think sloth, you think lazy, but this sloth chose to do things differently. Being happy and confident, and aware of our strengths are great attributes when heading in a new direction towards Post-Primary education. Kids engaged in effective conversation with Lynda and showed great respect to each other when considering Lynda’s novel. They had lots of fun.
To end our “Pirate” topic we dressed up for a brilliant day of treasure hunting and pirate activities!!
