P6M were asked to share aspects of their life with the class, as it would be, on an app. The children thoroughly enjoyed designing their app and showing the rest of the class.

The children enjoyed finding out how numbers were used in a newspaper as part of their Place Value topic.
The boys and girls love getting fit and healthy through weekly Healthy Kidz sessions.
P5DK spent the day celebrating European Day of Languages. The morning started with Mrs Somerville teaching the children some French. Then, they got out the atlases to discover the countries that are on the continent of Europe. They used the atlases to also look at the flags for each country and then coloured in the flags for all the countries in Europe. Next, Mrs Davison taught the children the numbers and colours in Spanish. Finally, the children got to taste foods from lots of the countries in Europe.
There was great excitement today when we went out to plant the conkers and acorns the children have collected on their nature walks. We used plastic bottles and milk cartons as plant pots. This was to encourage the children’s environmental awareness as we were reusing these and so reducing waste.
We hope to have lots of chestnut and oak seedlings in the spring time. It’s amazing to think that these little acorns and conkers will grow into great big trees some day!

The weather in September has been really lovely so we have headed outdoors to enjoy learning in the outside environment.
