P3 loved following instructions for making spooky spider buns!

Julie came into visit P5DK to talk all about dogs. The children took part in the workshop and learnt how to look after dogs and stay safe around dogs. Here are some photos of them enjoying the workshop.
We have had lots of fun practising our sounds, keywords and numbers during outdoor playtime.
Today we had a really interesting time when Julie, from the Dogs’ Trust, visited. It was so interesting to learn how to treat our treasured pets.
We have been learning how to write instructions. We have made jam sandwiches, ice cream in a bag and spider chocolate crispy buns.
P6M really enjoyed following instructions to make a Viking Longship. They showed great literacy skills in reading and following the instructions and as you can see from the pictures, they demonstrated excellent art ability.
What fantastic fun everyone had with our Halloween themed Healthy Kidz lesson. Coach Steve was a very slow zombie and did not manage to catch any P3 children!
They enjoyed playing lots of team games trying to take the witches and wizards hats and dodging each other as well. Lots of great motor skills needed for these games!
Today we went outside to find leaves and sticks to write calculations for double numbers.
Our literacy Big Book story this week was called ‘Making a din’. We learned about different instruments and the sounds they make. We made our own percussion instruments!
We made an amazing sound 😁😊
