P1TA had a fantastic day full of fun working with numbers. The children also enjoyed dressing up for Numbers Day and we raised lots of money for a very worthy cause. Thank you all.
This month we have really enjoyed our topic of fairytales, nursery rhymes and rainbows. We explored colour mixing to make each colour of the rainbow and created beautiful rainbows using playdough, paint and collage materials. We also had a rainbow day when we dressed up in different colours of the rainbow and were able to create a human rainbow. We loved reading lots of different fairytales and especially enjoyed retelling ‘The Three Little Pigs’ and ‘The Billy Goats Gruff’ stories using puppets. When outside we planted beans, after reading Jack and the Beanstalk, and are looking forward to seeing how tall they grow! We also made our own beanstalk using cardboard tubes and very carefully cut out some leaves to stick on. We had lots of fun making nature crowns by collecting leaves, petals, twigs etc.
Have a look through our photographs to see all the fun we have had!
P5DK had a fantastic day! It started by the children wearing clothes to school that had numbers on them, then they brought in the activity they completed at home this week and got sponsored for doing it. Throughout the day they enjoyed taking part in a variety of different activities that involved numbers. Here are a few photos to show what they were doing.
