A little snippet of our Remote Learning during the month of January.

Children investigated with freezing and melting ice, created cold pictures, enjoyed bird-watching, discussed feelings and emotions, discovered different materials and the importance of recycling! Children also took part in lots of physical activities, independence tasks and lots of songs and rhymes! Everyone really enjoyed our Big Bedtime Read Week as part of Getting Ready to Learn. I hope you enjoy looking through our pictures and seeing all the fun your friends have got up to! 😃

This month we have been very busy in nursery and at home learning, as part of our topic of Winter, about the importance of looking after birds. We made our own bird food and hung it outside in our gardens.  It wasn’t long before the birds visited and started to enjoy it. We then used recyclable materials and made binoculars so we could watch the birds.  Using our bird chart we learnt to identify and name a variety of birds.  We also enjoyed exploring freezing and melting, had fun outside in the snow and created our very own shops!

We have missed seeing our boys and girls in the classroom but we look forward to seeing their photos daily. Our children have been working extremely hard on their daily activities and we thank our parents for supporting their children and doing a fabulous job during these challenging times. Have a look at what our P1 children have been getting up to.
