In P7T, we discussed about dealing with our worries. This was an insight into pupil thinking as many concerns came to the fore like: thinking ahead to Clounagh, homework and changing friendships when heading into year 8. We talked about how we can deal with our worries, and what we can do to relax and reach a calmer state of mind. After some great discussion, pupils then went into the computer room to create posters on ‘Mindfulness Tips’ to help alleviate some of the concerns that they have. A productive and worthwhile afternoon! This is Health Awareness week, and mental health is an extremely important aspect of that.
As part of our Fairtarde topic we studied were Cocoa beans come from. We had to locate the countries on the map . We have fantastic map readers in our class. Good work, P6!!
P3F were fantastic at preforming their Pirate assembly this morning. Well done Me Hearties!
We have been using Izak 9 as part of our Numeracy work. We have to work together to try and solve a range of number problems.
What a busy day dressing up in black and white and making melted snowmen!
P5DK had great fun trying to work out which conductors changed the brightness of the bulb. First of all they had to understand the difference between an insulator and a conductor. After that, they all learnt how to build a circuit using wires, bulb, bulb holder, batteries and battery holder. Finally, they used a variety of different conductors in the circuit to see if they affected the brightness of the bulb. Here are some photos to see then in action.
