In our literacy lesson today, we enjoyed reading ‘Room on the Broom’ by Julia Donaldson. We then had an interesting circle time time, talking about what type of spell we would cast if we had a magic wand. We also had fun decorating our Halloween masks and making spooky spiders.
This month we have enjoyed learning all about Autumn. We have read Autumn books, sang Autumn songs and created lots of beautiful art pieces.
We are very fortunate to have Jeanie from the Portadown Temperance Council for a series of workshops, which are happening over the next number of weeks. These support our PDMU curriculum in P7.
We have learned so many new facts and the importance of making our own choices.
P4AK had great fun learning about Fairytales in Literacy this week. We have planned and written alternative endings to, 'Little Red Riding Hood.' We have been learning about the different elements needed to write Fairytales including endings, characters (good and evil) and settings. On Wednesday we created some Tableaux in groups to represent a scene from a chosen Fairytale. Check out the photos!
