We had a very busy World Book Day. We started off with our class assembly on WW2 which was a great success, followed by a WBD scavenger hunt, competition winners chosen, WBD activities in Healthy Kidz, WBD drama activities and a wee treat to end the day. Well done boys and girls - you are all fantastic!

On Thursday 7th March P5D had a wonderful day celebrating World Book Day. Have a look at the photos of the plates they decorated. It was such a difficult decision to pick the best dressed and also who had decorated the winning plate. Congratulations to the girls who were picked by Mrs Giffin and Mrs Eakin.

We had lots of fun this week, making new friends with the P1 boys and girls at Presentation Primary School.

It was lovely to see so many children dress up as their favourite book characters today. The costumes were fab as were the paper plate book characters as you can see from our photos. Special congratulations go to Willy Wonka aka Kajetan, who won ‘Best Dressed’ and Katie whose paper plate piglet came in first place.

We had lots of fun on World Book Day. We dressed up as our favourite characters and made character paper plates. It was very difficult to choose our winners because they were all amazing. Iris got a certificate for best costume and Brody won a book for best paper plate. We also had a surprise visit from Willy Wonka, who gave us all chocolate. Let’s hope one of us has the winning ticket!!!
