The P5 pupils from Presentation PS came to visit P5D at Hart Memorial today. The children had a wonderful time working together on some Christmas themed lessons. They started the day by using Book Creator on the iPads to create a book all about the meaning of Christmas. Then they enjoyed working together making some Christmas crafts. We have spent lots of time this term developing our understanding of positional language, using words like in front, behind, on top, under, beside. The children are working well together sharing ideas and learning from each other. There has been a lot of chat and excitement about Christmas time. The children have enjoyed using musical instruments this terms and learning their Christmas Nativity songs. They sang beautifully and we are so proud of them!

For their WAU theme 'The Human Body', P7L is learning more about the different bones in our body.
Today we found out the scientific names for a few of them.

The boys and girls got to write them down on a post-it note and stick it in the correct place. Luckily, Simon the skeleton was there to help.

P1 had a fantastic Christmas trip to the Navan Centre in Armagh. We were entertained with a Christmas play, before  enjoying a Christmas story and making a Christmas craft. The children were also thrilled to get a present from Santa.
