90 years ago, in October 1935, Hart Memorial Primary School first opened its doors to pupils in Portadown, following an amalgamation of other local schools. Since then, the Hart has grown significantly and seen many changes in our town. For many of you, the Hart was the school you went to, your child goes to, or your parent/grandparent/great grandparent went to. Lots of you have memories and stories about our school; and so many of you speak so highly about our school and your experiences here.
This year, we will be having several events and celebrations to mark this huge milestone.
The first of these events will be a Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving in St Columba's Church of Ireland on Sunday 19th October at 6pm.
Please share this post and let past pupils, family and staff know!
It would be great to see the church packed for this celebration.

- We had a great fun day. There was a lot of excitement when the ice cream van arrived playing music. We spent the morning having lots of fun bouncing on the bouncy castles and having our faces painted. We then had a picnic lunch to finish off a super day.

We had a super morning at our school disco, raising lots of money for charity. We enjoyed dancing to the music with DJ Paul. When we came back to Nursery, we had a special treat for our snack.

What a great show Mr Hullabaloo put on for us today. We loved listening and taking part in the stories he told about the Australian bear, Peter Pan and Goldilocks.

With the weather being so good in May, we have spent lots of time outside looking for mini beasts, practising our pedalling skills, planting, watering and taking care of our flowers and herbs. The children have also really enjoyed playing on the new seesaw. Indoors we have been exploring numbers, creating beautiful art pieces and using our imagination during our play in the home corner.

What an amazing time we have had during our Healthy Kids sessions with Coach Steve. The children have developed lots of skills including throwing, jumping, kicking, catching, running, marching etc. They have learned to work in pairs and as part of a team. It really has been great fun. Thank you Steve.
