We have had another busy month in Nursery. There was lots of excitement and discussion of fireworks after our Halloween break and we created some beautiful art work based around this. The boys and girls have also enjoyed printing with bottle lids, lego, duplo and toy cars, creating some very interesting patterns and designs. There was great exploration, excitement and discussion, when we drew pictures on polypockets and projected the images onto the wall using our overhead projector. We have had lots of fun outside mixing, stirring and exploring with mud, water and found items. We also got our green fingers out and planted some onions and garlic. 🧄 🧅 There has been great fun at the games area with the children using the body boards to slide on their tummies down the ramp and practise their balance and coordination skills through the use of our stilts!
The P6 children visited the Navan Centre and Fort in Armagh to finish their World Around Us Viking topic. They participated in different workshops and had a fabulous day.
We recently met with our P6 partner class from Presentation Primary School. On day 1, the children worked with a partner to explore this year’s anti-bullying theme, Respect. The boys and girls created posters with helpful advice on how to show respect to others. On day 2, the children created their own Viking Sagas, retelling them to the rest of the class. Both schools worked extremely well together and formed lasting friendships.
Good luck and please come back to see us soon...
