The boys and girls had a fantastic day at the farm. They fed and petted some of the animals, enjoyed a tractor ride and a play at the park!

This week we have been reading the story ‘Mister Seahorse’ by Eric Carle and many of our sentence writing literacy activities have been based on this interesting story. We also enjoyed making our own colourful seahorses by colouring in on tinfoil, spraying our pattern with water and pressing our template on top to give a stunning watercolour effect.

The children had a great morning with their partner class from Presentation Primary School on Wednesday at Portadown People’s Park. They participated in lots of fun games with Healthy Kidz coaches.

This morning, P6C completely amazed Mrs Woods with their enthusiasm, determination, teamwork and sheer hard work as they transformed the school vegetable garden.

On Wednesday 4th June, P4 to P7 children from Hart Memorial PS and Presentation PS walked to Portadown People’s Park to take part in a variety of activities. The staff from Healthy Kidz organised lots of fun games for the children.

Well done to Mrs Woods and the Eco Team for their work on securing our Green Flag. ON Tuesday 3rd June, Mr Frizzell, Mrs Woods and 3 members of the Eco Team were at a Reception and lunch at Craigavon Civic Centre to gain the award. Keep an eye out for the flag flying high!

We have really enjoyed developing our listening and gross motor skills with Bonnie from Jump, Jiggle and Jive.

With the weather being so good in May, we have spent lots of time outside looking for mini beasts, practising our pedalling skills, planting, watering and taking care of our flowers and herbs. The children have also really enjoyed playing on the new seesaw. Indoors we have been exploring numbers, creating beautiful art pieces and using our imagination during our play in the home corner.
