Yesterday, Tuesday 12th May, an impressive 245 children, staff, and parents took part in a special Walking Bus event to mark 'Walk, cycle or scoot to school.' Participants gathered at the school at 8:25am before setting off on a 10-minute route, collecting pupils at three designated points along the way.
The event ended on a high note as everyone returned to school to be greeted by a special visitor—Winnie the Pooh—much to the delight of all involved. Everyone who took part was presented with a special badge marking the walk to school week.
Tomorrow, we have our second walking bus of the week - we hope to see you there!

During Anti-Bullying Week 10th -16th November, we had the opportunity to revisit how we promote kindness, inclusion, and a safe environment across our classrooms and playgrounds.

We had the pleasure of six pupils, from Hart Memorial Puppetry Theatre Company, alongside teacher Mrs Woods, create a Bullying scene within the playground, which they performed, during Assemblies, from Nursery to P7 children. They concluded with everyone joining in to sing the song, “That’s what makes you beautiful” from One Direction.

On Friday 14 November, we will have an Odd Sock Day in recognition of the diversity of our school.

Today, Wednesday 22nd October 2025, we were delighted to be able to donate 219.2kg of food and toiletries to the Craigavon Area Food Bank.
Jim Freeburn, the centre manager came to collect it was very impressed with our efforts. I am also delighted to inform you that this is nearly 40kg more than last year - and this afternoon, we have even more brought in! Thank you to our whole school community for supporting this initiative, as we look out for others!
Pictured are representatives from our 2 groups who oversaw the collection - our school Council and our Rights Respecting School council.
